This website (previously mastodonserver.ca with thanks to Mike) is a directory of Open Social Web servers (aka Fediverse servers). We are happy to list any server running ActivityPub compatible software like Mastodon, Pixelfed, Lemmy, Loops, PeerTube and many others.

If you’re a server admin or member of an instance that would like to be added to the list please email Chris Alemany at help@socialbc.org or DM @chris@socialbc.ca or @chris@mstdn.chrisalemany.ca

Your instance will be added to the list on a first come first serve basis. Servers on the front page are listed alphabetically. Please include any specific category you would like your instance to be placed in. This WordPress blog is federated so it can be followed on the Fediverse @directory@mastodonserver.ca (just paste the link into your Mastodon or Fedi platform search bar).

In the menu, servers are sorted into “General Interest” if they don’t claim to represent a specific region or community within Canada. If they are regional, then I try to categorize them by province and/or community.
